Swiss distribution partner Swisscom to deploy Neo at the Zurich Airport
Zurich Airport is Switzerland’s largest international airport and is known for its unparalleled customer service, modern amenities, and over 60 shops, bars, and restaurants. Zurich Airport is also one of the most well-managed airports in the world, and that’s why Avidbots is excited to announce that two Neo floor scrubbing robots have been deployed in Zurich Airport to clean floors. As part of Zurich Airport’s commitment to hygiene, Neo floor scrubbing robots will autonomously navigate passenger terminals to ensure floors are spotless and hygienically clean.
“As we enter the 'new normal', airports like Zurich will rise above the rest by adopting cleaning automation to ensure their facilities are always impeccable and sanitized, making passengers feel safe to travel again,” said Faizan Sheikh, CEO, and Co-founder of Avidbots. “Zurich Airport was already one of the cleanest airports in the world, but now with Neo, they can ensure that their floors are properly cleaned slowing the spread of COVID-19 and other viruses.”
Avidbots is working closely with our Swiss distribution partner Swisscom to deploy Neo at the Zurich Airport, as well as other retail and commercial locations across the country. In Switzerland, where residents and visitors expect public spaces to be clean, organized and functional, Swisscom has seen a sharp surge in demand for Neo autonomous floor scrubbing robots during the pandemic. With an increased focus on regular and consistent cleaning, Neo supports existing cleaning teams allowing them to spend more time on high-touch 3-D surfaces while Neo handles the floors.
Avidbots Neo is already at work in many airports worldwide, including Singapore Changi, where 22 Neo robots are deployed, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, Tokyo Narita, Tokyo Haneda, Osaka Kansai, Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International and Ben Gurion. As lockdown restrictions lift in the coming months, ensuring that airports are clean will be paramount to attracting passengers back to air travel.
